JackTheLad has been set up as a Registered Charity to campaign for safer adventures for young people abroad and draw attention to risks. When things go wrong, we’re here to help families with practical and financial arrangements and with the difficult journeys they face thereafter.
When the worst happens, those who think they were covered by insurance often are not. In some cases bereaved families might not have the means to be able to bring their loved ones home quite so easily, adding further to their stress and devastation.
We believe that, across Europe, not enough is being done to prevent avoidable holiday accidents.
#JackTheLad will do its very best to address this, through our charitable aims. Or as they’re formally called, our Charitable Objects.
Aerobility is a UK based, registered charity. Founded in 1993, we change lives by providing anyone, with any disability with access to the magic and wonder of flight.
We do this because taking the controls of an aircraft drives a focus on capability and encourages our flyers to ask the question ‘If I can fly an aeroplane, what else can I do?’
This makes everything else in life feel that little bit more achievable, whilst offering the ultimate feeling of freedom and escape from restrictions of disability.
Aerobility represents the needs of those living with disability in to aviation and is recognised as the leading expert in disabled flying.
We provide practical, emotional and financial support to people living with chronic kidney disease (CKD) and their families and we believe no one should face kidney disease alone.
Our highly skilled staff and volunteers work with patients and their families to develop a complete programme of care tailored to their needs, treating everyone with dignity and respect. We believe in empowering the people we care for and offer a wide range of services at the Hospice and in patients' homes to help them feel well for as long as possible.
Neuroblastoma is a type of cancer that develops from early nerve cells called neuroblasts, most often affecting children under five years old. It usually starts in the adrenal glands or other nerve tissues in the abdomen, chest, neck, or pelvis, and can spread to other parts of the body, such as the bones, liver, or bone marrow. Initial symptoms are often vague and can include fatigue, pain, loss of appetite, and a high fever.
The charity's vision is a world in which every child diagnosed with neuroblastoma is cured.
We facilitate research that will lead to more effective treatments and ultimately a cure for every child diagnosed with neuroblastoma.
